At Hamilton Health Sciences, our Medical Laboratory Technologists (MLT) provide routine, urgent and stat specimen testing in a fully computerized and highly automated Laboratory setting. Our MLTs performs a variety of laboratory procedures while maintaining quality control. In addition to specimen testing they perform additional tasks including teaching, training, method evaluation, technical writing, quality assurance projects and safety projects.
Our MLTs work as part of the Hamilton Regional Laboratory Medicine Program, which consists of more than 700 team members in 31 labs located at each acute care hospital site throughout Hamilton.

Education requirements
Successful completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Technologist program with a Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science (CSMLS) certification
Registration requirements
Registered with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario (CMLTO)
