At Hamilton Health Sciences, our Respiratory Therapy team of nearly 200 Registered Respiratory Therapists (RRT) across our multiple hospital sites provide quality patient and family-centered care to those who require cardio-respiratory intervention and support. They provide care to patients of all ages including premature infants, children, adults and seniors across our multiple clinical and regional programs.
Our RRTs help determine the appropriate treatment options and therapies, from giving medication and applying oxygen to inserting breathing tubes and managing ventilators. They also have opportunities to precept and mentor, as well as provide ongoing education and training to respiratory therapists (SRT, GRT, RRT), health professionals, nursing staff, residents, fellows, and students.
